My name is Amy and I launched my career in the agency world, so I thrive in a fast-paced environment where the craziest ideas are welcomed and celebrated. I create, I ideate and I lead, but most of all, my goal is to inspire all of these things in every team I work alongside. To date, I have created digital experiences for companies including AT&T, Salesforce, The Cooper Institute, Omidyar Network, Gene B. Glick Companies and more.
To really ensure you’re learning the most you can in this short paragraph: I am an ENFJ, an Enneagram 1, an Upholder and my Top 5 Strengths Themes are Achiever, Restorative, Responsibility, Individualization and Learner.
I can also be long-winded when given the luxury.
I’m a proud Texas native with a decade of experience in public relations with a focus on creative direction and creative strategy. I like to say I am one part creative director, one part designer and the rest of me is a big dreamer with ideas that are just crazy enough to work.
My professional passion is helping individuals and teams find their most creative selves through design and strategy. This looks different for each practice and project, and I’m happy to detail this out further over a quick chat, but to offer a teaser: the common link to both approaches are understanding the goals of a project and understanding how the human mind works. From Nudge to Your Brain at Work, I’ve read them all and I use what I’ve learned DAILY, in both approaches.
Here's a quick snapshot of what I've been up to the past few years. For the full story, check out my resume.
As the creative director of a nonprofit, I work cross-functionally across the organization, external vendors and partners to oversee all design and creative strategy.
As creative director, I developed and implemented creative strategy for statewide and national campaigns. I also led, mentored, and motivated a team of graphic and UX designers, copywriters and creative strategists.
As an associate creative director, I supported a team of designers in implementing the creative direction for integrated campaigns. In this role, I also created a framework for big ideas, The TORCH Method, and led the companywide rollout, which has been utilized for 40+ clients to date. In 2019, I won the U.S. Cannes Young Lions PR competition and represented the country in the Global Cannes Young Lions PR Competition in Cannes, France.
As an art director, I conceptualized and implemented art direction for a diverse base of client projects; including branding, web, print and digital media projects. Because I was at a smaller agency, I also learned how to juggle several projects while also developing my project management skills.
